Job Purpose

Greenbridge is seeking a Grinder Operator to support the ongoing growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grinding preforms, strapping and scrap to supply production. Monitor quality of ground material.
  • Accurately report the amount and type of material ground. Work with minimal supervision.
  • Provide backup for Receiving Dept.: railcar unloading; reading silos; loading recycled cardboard; unloading packaging supplies; etc.
  • Blade changes, dust collector filter servicing (cleaning, changing)
  • Work safely, understand and comply with all safety requirements
  • Maintain clean work area (grinding room, material staging areas, receiving aisle)
  • Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift to stack, unstack and position gaylords and tubs
  • Able to work independently to complete tasks safely and efficiently
  • Able to use hand tools for servicing grinder
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Read, write and possess basic math skills
  • Good Mechanical aptitude and experience
  • Prior manufacturing experience a plus
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Successfully uses all tools, proper stamps, package product accordingly and other equipment.
  • Good manual dexterity and agility
  • Physically lift 60 lbs. to a six-foot height
