Under the direction of the Director of Clinic Administrative Services and in collaboration with the Lead Central Registration Clerk, the Central Registration Clerk position is a split role, or as determined by program needs, between central registration clerk and administrative clerk.

Responsibilities include:

Insurance

  • verifying and coordinating authorizations, assisting clients with eligibility and communicating effectively to both clients and staff

Billing

  • collecting insurance co-payments and past due account balances

Registration

  • greeting clients and visitors, checking in clients and updating their information

Schedule Management

  • answering phones, centralizing appointment scheduling for all medication providers, clinicians and psychologists, managing medication provider schedule

Medical Records

  • coordinating with the health information coordinator, preparing requests for medical records in a timely manner by following appropriate procedures
  • filing and scanning clinical and legal information from client chart documentation, within one business day

Providing other administrative support to the program including data entry.

Requirements:

  • High school level education/diploma require
  • 1-2 years office experience with demonstrated effective communication skills and proven organizational and interpersonal skills preferred.
  • Medical office experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of insurance requirements
  • Computer literacy and adaptability
  • Telephone experience required
  • Understanding of filing system

Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses.  Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.

Salary Range$20—$22 USD
