Position Overview:
The Sustainability Institute seeks a Student Worker to support a major update of the Sustainable Jersey programs. This role helps ensure the successful launch of the new Sustainable Jersey website by supporting the update of program actions and the migration and entry of website content. It also offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit program support.
Responsibilities:
Assist in Updating Resources: Review existing program actions to verify the accuracy of all hyperlinked resources, identify broken or outdated links, and research suitable replacements or updated materials under staff direction.
Perform Document Review: Review draft actions to verify consistency with the content layout and formatting required by prescribed template.
Update Program Spotlights: Support staff by researching and updating the spotlight sections of program actions, ensuring featured case studies and participant success stories are accurate and up to date. Website
Content Migration & Testing: Assist in migrating and entering content into the new website platform, and support the post-migration testing process by systematically checking pages for formatting errors, broken links, and functional issues before launch.

Governmental & Sustainability Literacy: Acquire a first-hand understanding of the intersection between local government operations and environmental sustainability initiatives.
Information Organization & Clarity: Learn to audit, categorize, and streamline program information to ensure resources are logical, user-friendly, and easy for participants to navigate.
Nonprofit Mission Support & Collaboration: Build professional skills within a nonprofit environment, learning how to align project-based tasks with broader organizational goals and community impact.
