Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Trinity Services Family Counseling Center is seeking highly organized and motivated Summer Interns to provide administrative and office support within a behavioral health outpatient setting. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in office management, professional communication, organization, and client interaction while supporting various members of the counseling center team.

Salary: $15.00 per hour (Part-Time)

Location: Joliet, IL

REPORTS TO: Administrative Assistant

NETWORK OR DEPARTMENT: Network 9

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
  • File and organize physical and digital documents to ensure proper archiving and accessibility.
  • Scan, upload, and maintain confidential office records and documents.
  • Draft, proofread, and format documents and correspondence as requested.
  • Assist with data entry and maintenance of databases and spreadsheets.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and other office materials.
  • Support team members with special projects by managing timelines and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Greet visitors and clients in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide assistance with customer service inquiries or direct questions to appropriate staff.
  • Provide general administrative support to department managers and other staff members as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to maintain office efficiency and daily operations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Be able to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassisted
  • Be able to push and pull 75 pounds
  • Be able to complete deep knee squats
  • Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Operate motor vehicles
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment
  • Physical activities that could be used include: driving, balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.
