POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and curious Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our Engineer-to-Order team. You will work alongside skilled engineers to help design custom heavy material handling equipment, collaborate on novel engineering challenges, and gain hands-on experience watching your work come to life on the production floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Support: Assist engineers with planning, development, and execution of engineering projects from concept through production.
  • Design & Innovation: Support the design of new products and refinement of existing ones using CAD tools under engineer guidance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Manufacturing and Sales teams to understand how product designs translate to real-world production.
  • Supplier Research: Help engage suppliers and assist with component research to meet design requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance product quality and streamline design processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain project documentation and assist in tracking design changes and project milestones.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design & Manufacturing, or a related field (Junior or Senior standing preferred).
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a strong plus.
  • Intermediate understanding of engineering design principles, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team.
