Job Description

Position Summary: 

The Porter is in charge of maintaining all vehicles in the service area which includes detailing, cleaning, and preparing vehicles for delivery to customers. Additionally, the Porter is responsible for lot maintenance and driving duties as assigned. 

Essential Job Functions and Duties: 

  • Strong focus on customer service and professionalism. 
  • Shuttling guests or customers if necessary. 
  • Assists customers with questions and directing them to the appropriate personnel. 
  • Washing and detailing of all customer and service vehicles to showroom quality. 
  • Picking up or delivering parts & vehicles as needed. 
  • Vehicle inventory maintenance. 
  • Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards
  • Light janitorial duties. 
  • Assisting service department with tagging customer keys and vehicles. 
  • Responsible for starting vehicles and checking gas levels twice a week. 
  • Maintains organization of customer vehicles in service lot. 
  • Able to walk and stand for long periods of time as well as work outside in all weather conditions. 
  • Cleans driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary. 
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, OSHA and other safety regulations, and all state mandated regulations. 
  • Comply with MW’s Core Values at all times (LOVE IT). 
  • Complete other duties as assigned. 

Position Qualifications and Entrance Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience is required. 
  • Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. 
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision is required. 
  • Candidates must successfully complete criminal and motor vehicle background check and pre-employment drug screening. 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. 
  • Must be able to complete office-related physical activities (walking, standing, talking, hearing, pushing, reaching, seeing, stooping/crouching, smelling, depth perception, identifying colors) as needed.

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
