GENERAL SUMMARY: The Employee Services Compliance Senior Specialist oversees the day-to-day operations and manages key Human Resources compliance requirements throughout the organization. This role is a critical integral part of the Employee Services team. The job will require a keen eye for detail, be able to multitask several projects, and enjoy a fast-paced, team environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Human Resources Operations
- Work with the Employee Services team to ensure the team’s priorities, initiatives, and goals are met.
- Manage, initiate, and drive
- New Teacher Residents, processing sending onboarding, overseeing compliance, and on/off boarding.
- SafeSchools manage deployment on a yearly basis, reporting, compliance, and support with inquiries.
- Reasonable Assurance, working with our school Business Managers, Principals, and Employee Relations.
- Job Descriptions - support the intake and maintenance of job descriptions, collaborating with key stakeholders on timeline and working with the Sr. Director of Employee Services on approvals.
- Collaborate with the Employee Services team to update the MyAspire intranet.
Compliance Management
- Oversee the TB process for existing hires. Review monthly data, to support the organization and maintain requirements prior to deadlines.
- As a custodian of record (COR), ensure that subsequent arrests are being reviewed by the Sr. Director of Employee Services, Employee Services Managers, with urgency and timely.
- Maintain the DOJ billing processing and reporting.
- Maintain the DOJ/TB clearances for volunteers and contractors.
- Manage Audits, including generating data and reports.
- Compliance Posters, order, communicate, and distribute the required updates to our schools and regional offices.
Verification of Employment
- Oversee verification of employment, including loan forgiveness, income requests from lenders, district requests, and AB 2534 forms.
- EDD – managing EDD files and claims
Benefits Support
- Support the Employee Services Managers with Tuition Reimbursement when needed – entering for processing and communicating with teammates if follow-up is needed.
- Issue benefits invoices for employees returning from a leave of absence and for those who did not work during the summer.
- Support the Employee Services Managers with audits related to benefits.
Customer Service:
- Zendesk: Answers HR emails and routes emails accordingly.
- Main HR phone line: Answers HR calls and routes calls and voicemail messages accordingly.
Administrative Support:
- Maintain and support audits of personnel files/payroll files, records, and e-file system for Employee Services and Payroll, including files for Subpoenas and legal claims.
- Provide support to Analysts with compliance data entry during the summer season, as needed.
- Partner with HRIS and the Engineering team to support data requests from external or internal sources.
Additional:

- This role may require travel to schools across the region and may require some periodic travel to all Aspire regions and/or other locations for conferences/professional development

Minimum educational level:
- High School Diploma or equivalent job skills
Experience required:
- Minimum 2 years related experience in a fast pace environment
- Experience working in a K-12 school environment preferred
- HR Experience, preferably managing compliance and/or equivalent field
