Job Description

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a temporary, part-time position to assist our Oil Lab Technicians with fluid sample prep, sample processing, lab side tasks, and creating standards and maintaining quality control standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers sample containers and sort for purposes of initiating lab processing functions
  • Applies basic fluid sample preparation techniques of oils and coolants in advance of performing data collection procedures
  • Administers proper data collecting procedures and policies
  • Ensures all data collected is timely and accurately gathered for evaluation processes
  • Performs basic lab processing and procedures
  • Performs various tests and processes on lab instruments- PH and Conductivity testing
  • Handling of oils, fuels, coolants, solvents and chemicals will be a part of the job duties

Qualifications:

  • Has schooling, experience or interest in a chemistry or lab environment
  • Strong attention to detail and process-oriented
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to manage repetitive work structure
  • Maintains safe and organized work area
  • Personal Attributes: Self Confidence, Planning and Organization, Attention to Detail, Problem Solving, Teamwork
  • Able to work up to 28 hours per week
  • 18+ years old

Minimum Physical Requirements:

  • Push/pull up to 25 lbs

  • Lift/carry up to 25 lbs

  • Lift bulky objects

  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation

  • Working Conditions are primarily indoors. Noise level may be moderate at times.

The pay range for this position is

$17.47 to $20.95

Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
