Job Description

The Business Development (BD) team is seeking a motivated intern with a strong interest in pursuing a career in Business Development. This internship program is designed to develop high-potential talent by providing exposure to a variety of BD functions, hands-on project experience, and mentorship from experienced BD leaders across Leidos.

Primary Responsibilities:


The Business Development team is a dynamic group of professionals focused on expanding market presence and driving business growth within the Digital Modernization (Dig Mod) sector. This fast-paced, strategic environment requires individuals who are motivated, adaptable, and eager to contribute to winning new business.


As an intern, you will support key BD initiatives and gain exposure to one or more of the following functional areas:

  • Capture Strategy and Support
  • Business Operations
  • Market Planning & Support
  • Proposal Operations
  • Capture Excellence

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to active pursuits, and develop a foundational understanding of the federal business development lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least two years of coursework completed
  • Demonstrated record of academic achievement
  • Strong leadership potential and initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of energy, motivation, and professionalism
  • U.S. Citizenship required


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Major in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with the U.S. Government procurement process
  • Exposure to federal proposal development or business development processes within a government contracting environment

Pay Range:

Pay Range $41,600.00 - $75,200.00
