Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring efficient operation for general office tasks and administrative duties for outpatient behavioral health. Responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the behavioral health concepts to help organize clinician and provider schedules. Effectively communicates via phone and email ensuring that all Administrative Assistant duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.
Principal Accountabilities:
Completes all tasks related to patient registration in electronic medical record including checking in patients for treatment, provide additional documentation required for patient appointments.
Schedules patients according to clinician/provider follow up timeline and availability.
Assists with editing scheduling templates for clinicians/providers.
Answers telephone calls in appropriate manner and responses according to requested need.
Greet patients and make them feel comfortable, both in person and over the phone
Provides general information to individuals calling.
Takes inventory and orders office supplies.
Informs Business Office Supervisor of any barriers related to workflow.
Provides general support to visitors and provides information by answering questions and requests.
Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring adequate inventory for daily operations
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Completes all mandatory AHS trainings and competencies as assigned.
