CUSTODIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The custodian is responsible for the overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the clinic.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans and dusts desks, tables, chairs, counters, etc.
• Mops, buffs, or vacuums portions of clinic floors.
• Responsible for cleaning kitchen area.
• Maintains clean restrooms and assures the availability of soap, towels, tissue, etc.
• Assumes stock control for supplies.
• Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Responsible for the appearance of the center grounds.
• Sanitizes all exam rooms, lab, x-ray, etc.
• Simple maintenance as assigned by supervisor.
• Adheres to the terms and conditions set forth in BSHC’s corporate compliance program.
• Ensures confidential information in accordance with BSHC’s policy and current HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in janitorial work preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions, operate cleaning equipment and keep a supply inventory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Requires physical work; heavy lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds.
• Moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, and/or unpleasant odors.
