Title:    Packaging Test Technician 
Department:    E-Commerce
Location:    Blythewood, SC
Immediate Supervisor:    Packaging Test Manager 

Principle Accountabilities

  • Perform various physical tests on packaging materials based on Industry Standards. 
  • Conduct environmental stress tests like temperature and humidity cycling, vibration, and shock testing on packaged products
  • Analyze packaging components for compatibility with product contents
  • Inspect packaging for defects and inconsistencies
  • Support packaging development process through assisting in prototype development, and performance testing.
  • Accurately record test data and observations in laboratory notebooks. 
  • Generate detailed test reports with clear analysis and conclusions. 
  • Maintain proper documentation according to standard operating procedures
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills and Experience 

  • Basic knowledge of packaging materials, testing methods and lab equipment preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation and standard operation procedures 
  • Strong written and verbal communication. 
  • Ability to communicate with external and internal customer
  • Must be willing and able to work on transit testing equipment; Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
