Sampling Agent - Cannabis Laboratory

US Cannalytics - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | Day Shift
$18.00-$20.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Overview

US Cannalytics is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Sampling Agent to join our growing team in the medical cannabis industry. This full-time field-based position is responsible for collecting cannabis and cannabis product samples from licensed grower and processor facilities while ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania cannabis regulations and laboratory procedures.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys travel, hands-on work, client interaction, and working in a fast-paced compliance-driven environment. The Sampling Agent plays a critical role in maintaining sample integrity, accurate documentation, and secure transportation of cannabis products to the laboratory. This position requires frequent travel throughout Pennsylvania, including mandatory overnight stays approximately once per week based on sampling routes and client scheduling needs.


Responsibilities

  • Travel daily to licensed cannabis grower and processor facilities throughout Pennsylvania
  • Perform random and representative compliance sampling of cannabis and cannabis products
  • Follow strict aseptic techniques during sample collection to prevent contamination
  • Accurately complete chain-of-custody forms, manifests, and electronic documentation using Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Ensure secure and compliant transportation of samples to the laboratory
  • Assist with laboratory intake, accessioning, inventory tracking, and documentation
  • Maintain clean and organized sampling kits, laboratory spaces, and transport vehicles
  • Communicate professionally with clients and laboratory management regarding scheduling, field scenarios, or unexpected requests
  • Adhere to all company policies, laboratory procedures, and Pennsylvania cannabis regulations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and extended time driving

Preferred:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience
  • Experience in cannabis, laboratory, inventory, or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique or laboratory documentation practices

Work Environment

Employees in this role may experience:

  • Frequent travel throughout Pennsylvania
  • Extended periods inside a motor vehicle
  • Exposure to loud noises, fumes, airborne particles, and varying environmental conditions
  • Video and/or audio surveillance in laboratory environments
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Fast-paced laboratory and field environments with frequent interruptions

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, talk, and hear
  • Occasionally lift or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work in non-ambient environmental conditions during field sampling
  • Strong visual attention to detail and ability to consistently produce accurate work
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle for extended periods

  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively throughout Pennsylvania, including overnight stays at least once per week.
