Your Essential Role: Creating Comfort and Connection

Your primary duty is to ensure every corner of our community feels sparkling clean, safe, and homelike. However, the true warmth of this role comes from your meaningful daily interactions with our residents living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

    • Creating a Sanctuary:  Be responsible for meticulous preparation of vacant rooms, ensuring new residents enter a pristine and welcoming space ready to become their new home.

    • You will be our champion for strictly adhering to sanitation protocols to protect our vulnerable residents from germs and illness.

    • You will keep the heart of our community bright and welcoming by cleaning and polishing common areas, hallways, and public restrooms, ensuring a consistently pleasant atmosphere.  Ensure that our home feels clean, smells clean, and is clean.  
    • Engage with our wonderful residents. Simple acts like a warm smile, a gentle touch, or a brief moment of connection are incredibly powerful.

    • Gently redirect a resident who seems lost, offer a kind word, or patiently listen to a story, even if it's the same one you heard yesterday. Your quiet, caring presence contributes directly to their emotional safety and happiness.

    • Your intimate knowledge of a resident's living space makes you a critical observer. You will gently and discreetly report any changes in a resident's condition, unusual observations, or safety concerns to the nursing team, serving as a key partner in their holistic care plan.

    • You will manage waste disposal, efficiently use and manage cleaning supplies, and reporting needs or small fixes. taking ownership of the environment's upkeep.
