Administrative Assistant

Front Desk & Clinical Support

SummitWest Care | Grand Junction, CO
Full-Time | On-Site | Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
$17.00-$21.00/hour (DOE)

SummitWest Care is a mission-driven, non-profit home health agency serving Mesa County. Our office is the center of our operations and communication for clients, clinicians, caregivers, community partners, and our administrative team. We are seeking a dependable Administrative Assistant to support front desk operations and clinical coordination.

This role focuses on managing daily office flow, while supporting key administrative duties behind the scenes. It is ideal for someone who is organized, approachable, and confident handling customer-facing responsibilities as well as detailed administrative tasks that help ensure care is delivered efficiently and without disruption.


What You'll Do

Front Desk & Office Coordination:

  • Answer and route incoming calls, manage voicemail, and handle mail
  • Greet visitors and notify appropriate staff of their arrival
  • Help maintain a professional, welcoming office environment

Clinical & Intake Support:

  • Assist with processing and tracking referrals in the EMR system
  • Support intake and clinicians by ensuring admission paperwork is complete
  • Assist with client communications and appointment reminders
  • Assist with discharge documentation and related administrative tasks

Operations & Administrative Support:

  • Review and validate clinical hours to support payroll
  • Assist with auditing visits, documentation, and missed services
  • Build, stock, and organize field kits and clinical supplies
  • Maintain accurate records across systems and internal trackers

General Office Support:

  • Order and maintain office supplies
  • Assist with errands, pickups, and office organization needs
  • Provide administrative support to team members as needed

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and accuracy
  • Professional, clear communication in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Comfort balancing detailed administrative work with compassionate customer service
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and shifting priorities
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience with EMR systems (HCHB preferred but not required)
