Who are we looking for?

Wilson Farm is hiring a full-time Bakery Sales Associate to join our Bakery Department. This position starts at $18/hour.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create a welcoming and positive customer experience
  • Advise customers on item selection; provide accurate information about products, pricing and availability and offer advice
  • Take orders from customers face-to-face, over the phone, or online; obtain customer details and billing information; work with the Bakery Manager and Production Manager to price orders appropriately; process customer payments; enter the orders correctly; efficiently convey orders to the Bakery Production Manager and staff, or to other Department heads and staff; and coordinate with various team members to ensure orders are filled
  • Keep customers informed about the order process and make follow-up calls as needed
  • Resolve customer complaints involving management as necessary
  • Set up bakery products and be ready for store openings/closings
  • Assist customers both in person and by phone with questions and selecting products
  • Stocking and replenishing shelves with appropriate products as needed
  • General clean up, organizing of bakery area to maintain neat appearance
  • “Writing" on some standard cakes - we will teach you!
  • Other related tasks as assigned by department Manager and Assistant Manager

Experience/Qualifications needed

  • Outstanding customer service skills, excellent work ethic
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing personality; positive attitude
  • Reliable/punctual - reliable transportation
  • Excellent communications skills - answering the phone and in person
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to hold this position

Work Schedule

  • Full-time (45-50 hours/week)
  • Schedule will be a mix of opening and closing on weekdays and weekend days
  • Holiday periods will require more hours and flexibility in schedule (which is greatly appreciated) to meet business needs

Physical requirements

  • Standing/bending/reaching for periods of time
  • Up/down stairs; in/out of coolers to access products for store retail floor
  • Must be able to frequently lift/move approx. 30+lb racks of baked good products
