Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Shipper to join our Boxing & Shipping team. This position involves preparing boxes of products for shipment to our customers, ensuring accuracy and quality in all shipments. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in ensuring every order is shipped correctly and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipping Preparation: Ensure that the correct products are placed in the correct boxes according to order specifications and sizes.

• Packaging: Neatly and securely pack products to prevent damage during shipping.

• Accuracy: Double-check product details, counts, and shipping addresses to match system records.

• Weight Limits: Ensure that boxes do not exceed 50 lbs.

• Box Creation: Coordinate with team members to ensure an adequate number of boxes are ready for daily shipments.

• Labeling: Apply customer-specific labels and packing slips as needed.

• Shipping Priorities: Refresh the computer shipping list every 10 minutes to manage changes in shipping priorities.

• Same-Day Orders: Ensure that same-day orders are processed and shipped promptly.

• Packaging Standards: Ensure proper tape application, correct box orientation, and that labels are applied straight and securely.

• International Shipments: Process and file proper documentation for foreign shipments, entering data correctly into FedEx/UPS software.

• Tracking and Reports: Maintain and save shipping reports, ensuring tracking numbers are assigned to jobs and that the system reflects the correct shipping status.

• Special Shipments: Prepare and process special shipments (e.g., DHL, USPS, trucking company orders).

• Supplies Management: Reorder taping supplies, printer labels, and other materials as necessary.

• Recordkeeping: Maintain daily shipping statistics and file them as directed by management.

• Palletizing: For trucking company orders, ensure that items are palletized, shrink-wrapped, and ready for shipment.

• End-of-Day Duties: Clean the shipping list, separate overruns, and ensure the work area is properly secured at the end of the day.

• Adaptability: Be flexible with shifts and hours based on operational needs.

Preferred Experience

• Previous shipping experience is preferred but not required.

• Must be able to answer Emails.

Language Requirements

• Must be able to read and write fluently in English.

Education and Training Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or one month of related experience or training.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, walk, or perform physical tasks for up to 8 hours.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 40-60 pounds for extended periods.

• Ability to use a step ladder, operate a forklift, cherry picker, and pallet jack.

• Ability to perform fine and gross manipulation tasks such as grasping, turning, and handling items.

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, or crouch as needed throughout the day.

Work Environment

• The position is based in a warehouse production setting with occasional loud noise and temperature fluctuations depending on equipment and weather.

• The environment may become noisy when multiple machines are in operation.
