DLZ Corporation is looking for entry level individuals willing to work hard and learn new skills.  DLZ will provide the necessary training for you to be successful in your role as a Field Technician for projects in Ohio!

Responsibilities:

  • Perform material testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt concrete and concrete at the time of placement on an active construction site.
  • Interpret specifications and working drawings.
  • Field inspection, testing, sampling, equipment, and equipment maintenance on assigned project.
  • Obtain and record field data, in a legible and organized fashion; as required by the plans, specifications, or project staff.  Generate and compile field reports.
  • Record daily installed construction quantities.
  • Speak with team members on a construction site, including the contractor and owner’s representatives.
  • Communicate with all entities keeping everyone fully informed.
  • Maintain equipment as required.
  • Understand and follow the public health and safety requirements and the proper safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Job Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to verbally communicate and relay accurate information
  • Computer skills required
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s License and ability to pass driving record check required
  • Ability to frequently lift 50lbs
  • Ability to travel throughout Ohio
  • The Following Certifications are Preferred:
    • ACI Concrete Field Testing
    • Nuclear Densometer Safety
