Is responsible for meeting specialized dietary needs and for following patient menu requests, assuring patient meal trays are set up accurately and attractively. Must complete regular cleaning duties using proper sanitation techniques as required to meet regulatory guidelines. Must exhibit excellent customer service skills when interacting with the public and all hospital departments.
What You'll Do:
Prepares food according to the menu and recipe guidelines.
Demonstrates knowledge of basic food groups and therapeutic diets.
Assures all plates are appetizing and prepared in accordance with the diet order.
Meals are served within the time guidelines established in departmental policies.
Is responsible for ware-washing procedures using proper sanitation techniques.
Responsible for accurate collection and accounting of money for meals purchased.
Stocks and monitors satellite food storage areas.

What You'll Need:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
One year experience in the Food Service industry preferred.
Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets and food preparation is preferred.
California Food Safety Handlers Card required.
Ability to work on an on-call, per diem basis.
Job Information:
Full-time position available, on-call required.
Varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Starting wage $20.63 to $25.01 based on qualifications.
