Description

Boulder Mills offers fine fixtures and custom cabinetry work for residential and commercial projects. Boulder Mills focuses on employees, customers, processes, and continuous improvement to provide the best quality and lead time to our customers.

The Benchman Apprentice role within Boulder Mills is driven and managed by a true quality metric. You will be exposed to multiple areas within the company and develop a diverse skill set that will facilitate quality on-time delivery to your internal and external customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and written instructions of specialty projects
  • Maintain a safe and quality-based effort for any products that are processed.
  • Sanding and woodworking
  • Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards.
  • Process work in a timely, quality-focused manner.
  • Assembly of cabinet boxes, doors, and drawers.
  • Load cabinets and parts into a truck in a safe manner ensuring the load is well protected and secure for travel.
  • Understanding the scope of contents of a load to know if they are missing anything.
  • Locate missing parts needed to complete the shipment.
  • Primarily support Boulder Mills production operations while serving as a shared manufacturing resource across affiliated operations, providing support to Tharp Cabinets based on workload, scheduling, and operational priorities.

Employment Type: full-time

Production Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm, Mon-Fri

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working in custom cabinetry and woodworking
  • Drawing reading skills
  • Self-motivated

  • Problem-solving

Physical Activities and Safety:

75% standing, 15% walking - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including wearing safety glasses and air filtration masks and suits where required.
