Job Title: Sterilization Technician

Hourly Rate: $19-$24 (Non-Exempt), Full-time

Department: Clinical

Reports to: Practice Manager

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Location: Dana Point, Ca

Job Summary:

The Sterilization Technician is responsible for ensuring all dental instruments, surgical equipment, and treatment areas are properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and prepared for patient care. This role supports clinical staff by maintaining strict infection control standards, organizing surgical instruments, and monitoring sterilization equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC guidelines.

  • Maintain and manage sterilization equipment to ensure smooth operations.

  • Keep tabs on inventory and assist in ordering dental supplies.

  • Be the first line of defense in maintaining a safe and sterile workspace.

  • Support the dental team when needed. This includes assisting with room breakdowns and setup, preparing operatories for patients, and helping with patient dismissing to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.

  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned. 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Detail-orientated and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in dental or medical setting

  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols
