Job Title: Rodbuster / Rebar Installer (Carpenter Helper / Construction Helper)
Pay: Up to $25/hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8–11 hour days
Location: Irvine, CA

Skillforce is currently hiring hardworking Rodbusters / Rebar Installers with 1–2 years of experience to join our team in Irvine, CA. This position is ideal for candidates with a background as a carpenter helper, construction helper, or general laborer looking to grow in the concrete and structural trades.

As a Rodbuster, you will assist with reinforcing steel placement and play a key role in supporting concrete construction projects. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside skilled tradesmen on an active job site.

Responsibilities:

• Tie rebar accurately and efficiently using hand and/or tying tools
• Assist with placing, spacing, and securing reinforcing steel
• Read and follow basic blueprints, drawings, and layout instructions
• Support carpenters and ironworkers with daily job site tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Load, unload, and move materials as needed
• Follow all safety guidelines and site protocols

Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in rebar, concrete, carpentry, or general construction
• Experience as a carpenter helper, construction helper, or laborer preferred
• Ability to tie rebar (hand tying experience required; machine tying is a plus)
• Physically able to lift, bend, climb, and work in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn and grow
