About Our Practice: 

West Loop Veterinary Care is a state-of-the-art, AAHA-accredited, Cat Friendly, and Fear Free Certified practice in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. Our compassionate team is dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering exceptional care to pets and their families. We foster a positive environment with a collaborative team that includes Hospital Attendants, Patient Care Coordinators, Veterinary Assistants, and Technicians. 

About the Role: 

We are seeking a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to be the welcoming face and voice of our hospital. You will be instrumental in ensuring a positive client experience, coordinating patient care, managing electronic medical records, and supporting our veterinary team.  

We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who will share the passion for our mission of providing exceptional medical care to our patients and excellent service to our clients.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide exceptional client service and coordinate patient care 
  • Maintain professional communications and ambiance 
  • Facilitate electronic medical records management 

Requirements: 

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills 
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Knowledge of hospital organization and client service 
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends 
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm for pet care 

Preferences: 

  • 1-2+ years of experience as a receptionist in a small-animal clinic 
  • Familiarity with practice management software and multi-line phone systems
