About AB Private Credit Investors

AB Private Credit Investors (“AB-PCI”) is the private corporate credit investment platform of AB, offering direct lending capabilities to middle-market, typically sponsor backed (i.e. private equity), companies across various industry sectors. AB-PCI focuses on directly sourced and privately negotiated investments in the primary issue market, while selectively pursuing opportunities in the distributed and secondary loan markets on a relative value basis. AB-PCI manages nearly $20B of capital available for investment.

AB-PCI pursues a flexible mandate designed to deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns by investing in unitranche, first lien and second lien debt, as well as private equity co-investments and structured preferred stock. Internship description:

  • This internship is best suited for candidates interested in learning about a career in investment banking, private equity, or credit investing
  • The intern selected will experience a comprehensive, finance-centric, internship that involves corporate credit analysis, modeling, and valuation skill building
  • The candidate will sit within deal teams and actively participate in the loan origination / underwriting and investment decision making process
  • The experience, coaching, and networking in this internship prepare the candidate well for a subsequent summer internship at AB-PCI or another division within the broader AllianceBernstein organization.

Job Qualifications:

  • 2028 Bachelor’s degree candidates with demonstrated excellence in academics
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
  • Ability to thoughtfully assemble and analyze data, working comfortably in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate good judgment and attention to detail, ability to take initiative and be proactive
  • Work well independently as well as within a team
  • Strong work ethic and desire to explore a career path in investment banking, private equity, or credit investing
  • To prepare for the internship, the candidate will be asked to complete pre-reading and on-line financial modeling preparation courses
