Job Summary

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist is responsible for supporting the HR Department by managing day-to-day administrative operations, coordinating recruiting and onboarding processes, processing timecards for payroll purposes as well as overseeing leave administration while maintaining accurate employee records. This role ensures smooth HR functions while protecting sensitive company and personnel information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Hiring: 
    • Assist with creating requisitions and posting jobs to WLF careers site
    • Screening resumes/applications
    • Scheduling interviews and preparing candidate materials
    • Creating offers
  • Onboarding: 
    • Coordinate the new-hire process, including administering background checks, processing employment paperwork, and conducting orientations
  • Records Management: 
    • Maintain accurate, confidential physical and digital employee files, and update HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) databases
  • Payroll & Benefits: 
    • Support payroll processing by tracking employee attendance, time off, and benefit enrollments
  • Employee Support: 
    • Serve as the first point of contact for employees, answering routine questions about company policies, benefits, and procedures
  • Translation as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Job Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role/field.
  • Age: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required with Associates Degree preferred.  
  • Skills:  Basic computer skills including Google Suite products.   Ability to problem solve.   Must be dependable and be able to work well with others.  Requires good customer service skills.  Must be able to work with limited supervision.  Attention to detail is a must.  Handling of sensitive information with strict confidentiality is a must.  Excellent professional and communication skills to interact with team members and job applicants.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Ability to adjust quickly to changing demands.  Must be able to work in a fast paced environment of continuous change and challenges.
  • Compliance: Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
