Job Summary:
Liberty Tire Recycling LLC is seeking a dedicated and hardworking General Laborer to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role involves supporting the plant, ensuring that operations run smoothly, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the facility. The employee in this position works in a dirty, wet, noisy environment exposed to extremes of hot and cold temperatures. A general laborer will do various activities within the tire recycling facility. The work assignment is very physically demanding.  This position works 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that work every other weekend.

 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handle tires weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability and experience operating a forklift
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to see and feel contaminated tires
  • Safety procedures
  • Teamwork
  • Understand directions
  • Ability to use hand tools

Skills and Abilities:

  • Willingness to work in hot, cold, wet and dirty conditions
  • Mechanical experience
  • Must have previous Forklift experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Willingness to work hard
  • Strength and stamina to lift and move rims throughout a shift
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is required.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated

 Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
  • Previous Forklift experience
