Job Description

Dakota Dental 4 Kids is seeking a friendly, dependable, and motivated Entry-Level Dental Assistant to join our dental team. This position is ideal for someone beginning their career in dentistry who is eager to learn, provide excellent patient care, and support clinical operations in a fast-paced environment. Training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient appointments
  • Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment
  • Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
  • Welcome and escort patients to treatment areas
  • Take and record patient medical histories and vital information
  • Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education
  • Maintain cleanliness and infection control standards throughout the office
  • Take dental radiographs/X-rays (if certified or willing to complete certification)
  • Stock and organize clinical supplies
  • Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Dental assisting certification or current enrollment in a dental assisting program preferred, but not required
  • CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
  • Basic computer skills
