Job Description

This is a full-time benefited position that includes both front office and back office Medical Assistant duties. The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, primarily from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., on varying weekdays, and requires working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).

What you'll do: 

  • The ideal candidate is someone who is adaptable and works well in a team oriented environment.
  • Frequently transport a high volume of patients to ancillary testing areas using a wheelchair or gurney.

  • Primary responsibilities will include both front and back office duties, point of care testing, EKGs, medication passes, and responding to medical emergencies.


Requirements:

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program, or Medical Assistance Certification, or a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
  • BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Experience:

  • One year of experience as an MA in an outpatient setting
  • Urgent Care experience
