Shodair is looking to add a Genetic Counseling Assistant to our Medical Genetics team! The Genetic Counseling Assistant will work as a team member with the Genetic Counselors and other clinicians, assisting them with aspects of patient intake, genetic counseling, documentation and post-clinic follow-up duties.

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has experience with patient and family contact in a community or medical setting
• Has experience with clinical projects
• Can establish priorities and organize work as needed
• Has basic computer skills
• Has excellent customer service skills

Requirements

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE;

• Required education and experience—High School Degree or GED. Prior experience with patient and or family contact in a community or medical setting. Previous experience with clinical projects, either in an administrative or clinical role, strongly preferred.
• Preferred education and experience— Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, biological/health science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
