Job Summary:
This position is responsible for accurately collecting and entering patient demographic and insurance information, along with performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor. All duties are carried out with a strong emphasis on patient safety, satisfaction, accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.

Responsibilities include:

  • Professionally receiving and directing telephone calls and inquiries
  • Greets and assists patients, visitors, and staff entering the hospital
  • Obtains initial patient information, including demographics and insurance information; reviews and maintains patient data.
  • Maintaining accurate records, reports, and ongoing logs as requested
  • Keeping detailed records of all inpatients

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have excellent telephone etiquette.

Schedule:

  • With consideration to our patients’ and staff needs, you may need to work on days, evenings, nights, weekends and/or holidays and may need to float to other departments.
