Job DetailsJob Location: SPP Pumps - Norcross, GA 30071Position Type: InternshipEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeSalary Range: $14.50 - $19.50 HourlyTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Information TechnologyPosition Summary Provides entry-level information technology support while gaining hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. Assists with daily helpdesk operations, responds to internal support requests, and works alongside the IT team to ensure the smooth delivery of technology services to all staff. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serves as a first point of contact for internal staff experiencing technical issues via the helpdesk ticketing system. Logs, tracks, prioritizes, and resolves helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner. Assists with setting up and configuring desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and user accounts. Supports user account management including password resets, access requests, and onboarding/offboarding tasks.  Troubleshoots common hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows and/or macOS environments. Escalates complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff and documents resolutions for the internal knowledge base. Helps maintain IT inventory records and assists with equipment tracking. Learns and follows IT security best practices and departmental procedures. Performs other duties as assigned by the I.T. Specialist. Qualifications Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and networking concepts. Familiarity with common business applications (Microsoft Office 365, Windows OS, etc.). Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset when assisting non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and follow through on open issues. High level of integrity and dependability with a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Any CompTIA (A+, Network+), Google IT Support, or Microsoft certifications are a plus but not required. Familiarity with helpdesk or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Zendesk) is a plus.
