Description
Overview:
The Human Resources Intern will support the day-to-day operations of the HR team and gain hands-on experience across a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and HR administration. This role will work closely with the HR team to assist with projects and processes that support employees and organizational initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and interested in developing a career in Human Resources.
Responsibilities:
· Assist with day-to-day HR operations and administrative tasks
· Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling
· Assist with onboarding activities, including new hire paperwork and orientation preparation
· Help maintain and update employee records and HR documentation
· Support benefits administration and employee communications
· Assist in tracking employee compliance with required policies and training
· Help organize employee engagement initiatives, including appreciation events and volunteer activities
· Assist in coordinating HR projects, trainings, and meetings
· Support payroll preparation and reporting activities as needed
· Respond to basic employee inquiries and help route HR-related questions appropriately
· Assist with performance evaluation tracking and documentation
· Support research, reporting, and process improvement initiatives within HR
Qualifications and Education:
· Current, ongoing college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required, with a 3.0 GPA or greater
· Experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and take direction
