Job Description

Founded in 1984, Firetrol is the national leader in fire protection & life safety services. We are currently seeking a Fire Alarm Helper to join our team of the best fire protection professionals in the industry. This position is based in our Houston, TX location.

  • Primary duties - assist with the installation of fire alarm equipment under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
  • May also assist with the service, repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems; under direct supervision of a licensed Fire Alarm Technician.
  • Interact with customers, contractors, vendors and other employees in a respectful, professional manner.
  • Must work safely, following OSHA and Firetrol safety policies and practices.
  • Accurately complete required daily paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Some overtime, nights, weekends and on-call hours may be required.
  • Work experience, training or education in the installation, maintenance, inspection and repair of alarm systems or related equipment is preferred but not mandatory. Training will be provided.
  • Able to work in a variety of businesses and institutions including commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, education and government facilities.
  • Must possess or be willing and able to obtain any applicable state licenses.
  • A current Driver’s License is preferred.
  • Must be able to satisfy State, Federal and Customs background check requirements.
