Transitional Services for New York, Inc., not-for profit, is a comprehensive, community-based mental health organization located in New York City. We provide a continuum of rehabilitative services to enrich the lives of those recovering from mental illness and facilitate their transition to increased levels of independence. Transitional Services for New York, Inc. envisions broadening its rehabilitative services and becoming a regional social service provider. Transitional Services for New York Staff will deliver effective programs with compassion, integrity, and professionalism. TSINY, a mental health services agency is seeking Activities Coordinator for its Residential Mental Health program located in Queens Village, New York. Travel between Programs and offsite events are required.
Salary: $47,320 annually; $26 Per Hour; Full- Time
Driver License Required
Positional Summary
Coordinate recreational activities for the residents of Hope House I, Hope House II, Bronx II and The Williams. Establish and maintain a relationship with corporate sponsors to obtain tickets to offsite events. Organize special events, such as barbeques and Family and Friends Day events. Coordinate with other individuals in TSINY responsible for activity planning to integrate activities across TSINY programs and promote the development of healthy social networks for those involved in our programs.
Essential Functions

Experience/Education/Skills/Abilities
High School diploma plus 1-years’ experience in planning recreational and social events for special needs populations preferred.
