Job Description

PURPOSE:  To ensure inbound/outbound product is managed and effectively processed through its proper sequence. This active, hands-on, Dock Support specialist position will oversee all processes related to loading, unloading, and tracking of linen products to and from our customers. (Experience in the textile, linen, or apparel marketplace is a plus.)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:  

  • Unload soil carts from returning trucks.
  • Weigh in soil carts from returning trucks & record into the system by cart number and customer.
  • Record cart numbers, weight and customer on CAB sheet
  • Turn CAB sheets into transportation manager at shift end daily.
  • Stage soil carts in designated areas
  • Perform and manage cargo area sanitation process in accordance with HLAC.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed in their department, including safety and Service SOPs.
  • Serve as liaison between production and transportation.
  • Hours – as needed per route schedules

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:  

The Dock Coordinator is responsible to meet or exceed all assigned duties related to proper linen processing to the customer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Demonstrate excellent skills in customer service with an emphasis on internal customers.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills in English, comprehend and follow direction and good time management skills.
  • Be able to continuously stand, bend, push carts loaded with product, rotate trunk, reach, lift, walk, climb, and grasp.
  • Be able to lift up to 75 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Be able to lift from floor to 70 inches.
  • The work environment may have temperature fluctuations.
  • Must be flexible in regard to shift times as changes may be needed to accommodate plant flow
