Summary of functions

Receives vocational training for specialized projects as requested by Kalispel Tribal Departments. Participates in on the job training activities through hands-on learning. Support projects and/or initiatives that are part of the Kalispel Tribe's relief and recovery from COVID-19 pandemic, which supports relief efforts for the families, business's and community of the Kalispel Tribe of Indians.

Essential duties and responsibilities

• Attend vocational training as requested/needed; such as demolition, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication, hydraulic repair & maintenance, heavy equipment operator, general construction.  
• Participate in vocational hands-on projects as requested; such as demolition, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, welding, hydraulic repair & maintenance, heavy equipment operator, general construction.  
• Assists in construction of various projects by providing physical labor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• This position has no employee supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in industrial environment.
• Be committed and dependable, desire to be accountable and learn.
• This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, lift, carry and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires extensive work with hands, arms, fingers, and wrists in repetitive motions.
• This position requires significant amounts of standing or walking.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations

• Valid First Aid & CPR card or ability to obtain upon employment
• Kalispel Tribe Work Permit level 4
