Summary

Perform a variety of jobs requiring some judgment and knowledge of simple tools and mechanical aptitude. 

Responsibilities 

· Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition, bathrooms, office building or similar building.

· Empties trash and garbage containers.

· Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space.

· Provides minor repairs to lighting, heating and ventilation equipment and notifies supervisor of major repairs.

· Working knowledge of carpentry and plumbing.

· Maintains proper processing of wastewater in the waste treatment area.

· Maintain supplies needed to perform job.

· Understand all safety aspects and follows all safety rules.

Requirements

Experience and Education Requirements

· Prior custodial experience preferred.

Competencies – Knowledge, skills and characteristics/behaviors

· Reading, writing and mathematical level necessary to competently perform job duties.

· Ability to work well with others in a team.
