Located on the campus of Thomas Hospital
Our growing cardiology practice is seeking a friendly and professional Phone Operator to join our team in Mobile, Alabama. In this important role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients by providing exceptional customer service and ensuring prompt, accurate communication.
The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, and able to manage a high volume of patient calls in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Previous customer service or medical office experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn and grow.
This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient inquiries
- Route calls to appropriate departments and clinical staff
- Provide accurate information regarding appointments, messages, and office procedures
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times
- Document patient communication accurately
- Collaborate with team members to improve patient experience and workflow efficiency
- Assist with general front-office communication tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Previous customer service or healthcare experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office environment
- Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills required
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting
