About the Role:

The Guest Service Representative at the Sleep Inn & Suites West, Lubbock TX plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and positive experience for all guests from the moment they arrive. This position is responsible for managing front desk operations, addressing customer inquiries promptly, and ensuring smooth communication between guests and the establishment. The role requires a proactive approach to sales promotion and customer engagement to enhance guest satisfaction and contribute to revenue growth. The Guest Service Representative acts as the first point of contact, representing the brand with professionalism and courtesy. Ultimately, this role ensures that every guest interaction is handled efficiently and with a focus on exceeding expectations, fostering loyalty and repeat business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in front desk or guest service roles.
  • Strong command of the English language, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple phone lines and handle customer inquiries efficiently.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with front office management systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in sales or sales promotion within a hospitality or customer service environment.
  • Additional language skills beyond English.
  • Formal training or certification in customer service or hospitality management.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Knowledge of local area attractions and services to assist guests effectively.
  • $10 to $13 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing assistance and information as needed.
  • Manage front desk operations including check-in and check-out procedures, reservation handling, and payment processing.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries via multiple phone lines and in-person interactions.
  • Promote sales and special offers to guests to enhance their experience and increase revenue opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, reservations, and transactions in the front office system.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest needs are met and any issues are resolved quickly.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.
