UVA Imaging is seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services in a fast-paced, supportive outpatient setting.

UVA Imaging has 4 outpatient centers located in the Charlottesville VA area.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic General ultrasound examinations 
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain imaging processes clearly and compassionately 
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and documentation 
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers regarding imaging findings 
• Maintain equipment functionality and adhere to safety standards 
• Deliver exceptional patient care and maintain professionalism at all times

Requirements

EXPERIENCE:        

•  At least 1 year experience as a licensed Sonographer preferred       

EDUCATION:        

•  Must be a graduate of an approved program of diagnostic sonography.          

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:        

Must be registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS) or ARRT (S). For IDTF centers, OB, Abdominal, or General certification is required upon hire, and RVT certification is required within one year of hire. Non-IDTF centers require RVT certification along with OB, Abdominal or General within one year of hire, where applicable. Additionally, must meet the state licensure requirement for the state in which they practice.
