Our Bethlehem, PA, location is part of our Liquid Beverage division and specializes in coffee extract and flavorings created for Kerry products and customers!

Key responsibilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Coffee Roaster to join our 1st shift operations at the Kerry Bethlehem facility. This role is the first step in our coffee processing line, responsible for transforming green coffee beans into roasted beans ready for production. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize safety and cleanliness, and have experience operating industrial equipment and HMIs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a 280 kg coffee roaster to process green coffee beans from storage silos.
  • Transfer roasted beans to designated silos for production use.
  • Monitor roasting parameters and make adjustments via HMI systems to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine cleaning of roasting equipment every 40 hours to prevent fire hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of roasting batches and equipment maintenance.
  • Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely flow of roasted beans and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

Qualifications and skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience in food manufacturing or coffee roasting preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and cleanliness.
  • Familiarity with HMI systems and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Compensation Data

The pay rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.  Kerry offers a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, Employee Share Plan, Life, disability, and accident insurance.  This job posting is anticipated to expire on 12-2026.
