Job Description

Hourly Pay Range:

$18.84 - $27.32 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Laboratory Assistant I
  • Location: Evanston Hospital
  • Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm

What you will do:

  • Triage cytology specimen: gross specimen and accession specimen
  • Process gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimen using various processing and staining techniques
  • Provide customer support as a technical liaison for the cytology laboratory for inquiries
  • Support specimen send outs by completing patient sample requests
  • Maintain a clean laboratory station and work alongside team to manage the inventory, logs, equipment functions, and troubleshoot issues in the laboratory with the supervisor

What you will need:

  • Education: HS Diploma required. College degree preferably in science
  • Certification: n/a
  • Experience: Lab experience preferred
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Laboratory experience preferred
