  • JOB TITLE: Dispatcher – Full-Time

    LOCATION: Irvine, CA 

    HOURS: Monday- Friday 6am-2:30pm

    COMPENSATION: $25-$26 / Hour 

    TRAVEL: ​Minimal (1-10%)​

    Your daily impact: 

    The job responsibilities below outline the core duties and expectations of a position, providing clarity on how the role supports Company goals.     • Driver Logs & Hours: Monitor logs for errors, violations, and working hours. 

    • Weather Awareness: Flag potential weather-related issues for drivers. 

    • DOT Compliance: Ensure drivers follow DOT regulations for safe operations. 

    • Route Planning: Analyze efficient routes to meet customer needs cost-effectively. 

    • Work Order Coordination: Review daily orders to deploy resources. 

    • Driver Management: Track progress, process orders, and address concerns. 

    • Equipment Oversight: Monitor equipment availability for daily operations. 

    • Service Validation: Review completed services to ensure accuracy. 

    • Billing Support: Provide records to support invoicing. 

    • Software Use: Utilize Excel and routing software for scheduling and verification. 

    • Driver Support: Answer calls and dispatch instructions as needed. 

    • Team Coordination: Communicate progress and resolve driver issues. 

    • Recordkeeping: Maintain all operational and compliance records. 

    • Decision Making: Use judgment and escalate issues when necessary. 

    • Process Improvement: Identify ways to optimize routing and service delivery. 

    • Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times. 

    Minimum Job Requirements 

    Minimum job qualifications define the essential skills, experience, and abilities needed to succeed in the role. They set the baseline for hiring but may evolve as the job and business requirements change: 

    • Education: ​High School or GED​ 

    • Experience: 1-2 years dispatch experience – waste & recycling services experience preferred  

    • Age: Must be at least 18 years of age. 

    • Compliance: Must successfully pass background check, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.
