Job Description

Responsible for performing general secretarial and clerical duties in the patient care areas. Interacts with patients, families and physicians and acts as a liaison among members of the health care team, patients and families.  Assists the nursing staff in coordinating the activity of the unit. Oversees the orderliness of work areas and orders forms and other clerical supplies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Experience must include one of the following:
    • Six months of acute care experience.
    • One year of skilled nursing experience.
    • Acute or skilled experience will be waived if the applicant has demonstrated experience involving customer service in healthcare or other related industry and completion of an acute care NAC course.
    • Acute or skilled experience will be waived for students currently enrolled and in good standing at a traditional registered nursing program approved by the Nursing Quality Care Commission.  At a minimum, satisfactory completion of one academic term (quarter or semester) that included clinical patient care experience is required.  Strong preference will be given to students enrolled in a BSN program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience using electronic medical record.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
