Frontwave Credit Union

There aren’t many communities like this one. One foot in the Pacific, the other in the desert. Home to some of the world’s greatest fighting forces—and a community of everyday fighters. The people here work hard. For their families. Their friends. Their future. It’s a part of California that values authenticity over image. Substance over show. At Frontwave Credit Union, we’re proud to serve the people who make this community what it is. Our members work hard, plan big, and chase what matters most. And when they bank, they bank with us—not just because of great rates or low fees, but because we help them move forward. We help our members get things done. Start something new. Build momentum. Reach goals that once felt out of reach. Whether it’s buying a home, starting a business, or planning for the future, we’re here to make things possible—with 100% commitment and zero excuses. Our story began in 1952 as Camp Pendleton Federal Credit Union, serving Marines, sailors, and civilian personnel in Southern California. More than 70 years later, we’ve grown to serve over 132,000 members worldwide while staying true to our mission: supporting the financial success of the people and communities we serve. Today, with 18 branch locations and global ATM access, anyone who lives or works in San Diego, Riverside, Imperial, or San Bernardino counties is eligible to join. And while our name has evolved over the years, one thing hasn’t changed: our commitment to showing up for our members. Because when someone says, “I know a guy,” they’re talking about us—the people who show up, dig in, and figure it out. We fight for our members. Because we’re Frontwave. Dream big. We got you. Frontwave Credit Union is proud to be a multi-year recipient of top local honors, including being named San Diego’s Best Credit Union by the San Diego Reader’s Best-Of Poll in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2024.
