Job Description

Description

Browning located in scenic Mountain Green Utah is searching for a Custodian in the Maintenance Department. This is a full-time, 30-hour position M-F either 11:30 am- 6:00 pm or 2:30 pm- 9:00 pm.

Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness within the designated facilities by performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring proper waste disposal, and contributing to the overall safety and hygiene of the work environment. The custodian plays a crucial role in creating a pleasant and sanitary atmosphere for employees, clients, and visitors. Secure the building at the end of the workday to protect and preserve the assets of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Cleaning and Sanitizing. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Clean and disinfect restrooms. Wipe down and disinfect surfaces to remove dust, germs, and debris. Empty trash bins and replace liners as needed. Properly dispose of waste materials. Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors. 

2. Minor Maintenance. Report any maintenance issues or needed repairs to the appropriate supervisor. Perform minor maintenance tasks. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies. Notify supervisor when additional supplies are needed.

3. Safety and Security. Ensure through strict execution, the night security of assets and facilities for the continual protection of the property. Open and close the buildings and gates as needed using security systems. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Monitor and report any security concerns to a supervisor. Keep emergency exits and pathways clear of obstructions.

4. Team Collaboration. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure consistent and thorough cleaning. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate tasks and responsibilities.

5. Adherence to Regulations. Familiarize yourself with and adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines. Ensure compliance with company policies related to cleanliness and hygiene. 

6. Flexibility. Be adaptable and willing to assist with additional tasks or special cleaning projects and needed. Be able to assist in the mailroom and warehouse as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. Basic computer skills.
