Description
We’re seeking a dependable, detail-oriented team member to join our production crew as a Syrup Maker. In this role, you’ll be responsible for mixing ingredients to create our vinegar brine, ensuring every batch meets our quality and safety standards.
Work Schedule: 6:00 p.m. - 3:30 a.m. (Monday - Friday, Saturday's required during peak season).
Summary
Measures and mixes all ingredients per formula check-off sheet for product syrups and brines. Employee may work in either syrup room located in various parts of the plant for the different lines.
Keeps inventory of all product ingredients and assists lead syrup maker in recording lot number fo ingredients when necessary.

Requirements
High school graduate plus additional training needed. Ability to read, write and speak in English required.. Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions needed for job tasks.

Machines, Equipment, Tools Used
Mixing tank, pumps, switches, valves, hoses, filter, briner, measuring equipment (including 16 and 32 oz. cylinders, measuring pitcher, scales, thermometer), screw driver, channel lock, Steel Toed Shoes.
Physical Demands
Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the line,
using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important
if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.
Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerate degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Crouching: Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Standing: Particularly for sustained periods of time.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Pushing: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady forces in order to thrust forward, downward, or outward.
Pulling: Using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.

Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform and activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures: transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
Work Environment
Works inside, subject to some seasonal temperature variations, odors/fumes from some ingredients and intermittent wetting from some job tasks. Earplugs required because of irritating machinery noise. Some contact with grease and yellow food coloring. Head cover and beard cover required. Gloves, goggles and apron required at times.
