Wayside LOCATION Services is a one-stop resource center for young adults facing extra challenges. We focus on achievement, employment, education, healthy relationships, and practical skills to help them reach their future goals. Young adults are supported to become leaders, learners, workers, and role models. Tempo offers unconditional help to ensure these young people become healthy, productive adults.

Qualifications:

• Must be enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintain confidentiality and adhere to the organization's standard of ethics.
• Must have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to have a consistent weekly schedule

What you will do: 

• Coordinate intake assessments for new participants.
• Schedule weekly case management meetings with assigned participants.
• Provide individual and group life skills assessment and education/training for participants.
• Provide employment assistance, career development and apprentice job matching for identified participants. Develop, monitor, and evaluate apprenticeship experiences.
• Complete all documentation as required.
• Participate in all weekly and required agency staff meetings, required agency trainings, supervision with Program Director and assigned meetings in the community.
• Ensure compliance with Wayside Youth and Family Support Network policies and procedures.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student preparing for a career in Human Services. Students will gain experience working directly with young adults, assisting them with several issues and connecting them with services. Students will also be performing needs assessments, case management and systems navigation. Upon completion students should have a working knowledge of most of the departments that fall under the Executive office of Health and Human Services.
