Job Description

Climate Systems, LLC is currently seeking a motivated and dependable Mechanical Helper to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to build a career in the commercial HVAC and mechanical construction industry while working alongside experienced technicians and installers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

As a Mechanical Helper, you will assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems while supporting field teams with daily job site operations. This role requires a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, attention to safety, and a commitment to quality workmanship. You will gain hands-on experience working with tools, materials, equipment, and mechanical systems while contributing to successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the general work activities per the direction of others to complete the assigned activities.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Ensures tools, equipment, and materials are stored properly and securely.
  • Support the mechanic, foreman, and/or superintendent to complete assigned projects.
  • Transports and furnishes mechanics with materials, tools, and supplies.
  • Protect the interests and legal rights of the Company during project execution.
  • Effectively communicate with mechanic, foreman, and/or superintendent.
  • Demonstrate a positive, customer-focused attitude for others to follow.
  • Maintain a professional appearance by wearing appropriate attire.
  • Demonstrate support for companywide initiatives regardless of opinion.
  • Maintain appropriate company confidentiality at all times.
  • Protect the assets of the Company and ethically uphold the highest standards of integrity in all situations.
  • Cultivate and promote a safety culture.
  • Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous construction, mechanical, or HVAC experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy materials and equipment.
  • Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and construction environments.
  • Willingness to learn and follow direction from supervisors and experienced technicians.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to safely use hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
