We are seeking a Spot Weld Operator for 1st Shift and 2nd Shift at our Garden Grove, CA Plant. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday

  • First Shift  - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Second Shift - 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process
  • May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.
  • Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.
  • Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.
  • May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.
  • Spot weld milled steel and stainless steel.
  • Square up and weld various shapes of components.
  • Weld both vertical and horizontal planes. 
  • Good understanding of set up techniques.
  • Meets agreed upon goals and objectives promptly.
  • Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
  • Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner.
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Stacking finished material as it is produced by Mill Operator.

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks. 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Welding knowledge is a plus.
  • Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation as you will frequently and repetitively be required to bend, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk and/or sit and reach with hands and arms. May occasionally climb stairs, drive vehicles, and operate equipment. Lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Must wear required hearing and/or eye protection.
